There will be four scenarios with dedicated maps for Saturday tournament phase.
Each will use 2 tank traps and 2 ammo boxes for cover. Map sizes will be classical 4×3 tiles. Maps will be published not later than one month before Championship. Available maps are download-able by using dedicated button below small maps.
- Area Control – „Sometimes the best way to engage your enemy are tight passages and enclosed spaces of urban area. In this type of terrain even a small force can hold ground against much larger force. Close quarters fighting and clearing buildings on room to room basis caused severe losses and required a specialized force. Only by claiming the whole territory a commander could be sure of his victory in this type of environment. Documents retrieval, high ranking officer assassination, weapons cache grab – name any typical underground movement action – you will be performing those in urban areas during enemy occupation. Get the men ready, the stage is set, we need to take control of that part of the town.”
The player who controls the most 3×3 table tiles at the end of the game is the winner. To control a table tile, the player must have a unit on a square of the tile, and no enemy unit on the same tile. In case of a draw at the end of round 6 calculate unit points as normal.
- Special Ops – „During many special ops a small mistake can cause a big problem. A simple and fast task could then change into a brutal firefight in close quarters. This is a classic example of that situation. Your force has been spotted and enemy has sounded the alarm. Our forces managed to dig up in a building close by but the enemy has done the same. This is taking too long, this stalemate is not getting us anywhere. Time is of the essence, you need to capture a building that serves as main part of his defense line and then make a breakthrough.”
Starting with turn 3, if at the end of any turn a player controls 2 or more fields in the target building he wins the game. In case that both players hold 2 or more fields continue the game until the situation is resolved. If at the end of turn 6 there is still a draw calculate points normally.
- Points Control – „Secret radio broadcasts are the only quick way to contact Allied or SSU headquarters while performing actions so deep in enemy territory. We gained info that an enemy undercover agent is broadcasting right now. To make sure we can pinpoint his location capture those points, afterwards we’ll send in radio specialists to get the job done. Sadly the enemy had a special ops force ready to defend the location of the agent. Deal with them, or capture those points. Either way this needs to be done.”
Players must take control of 4 symmetrically placed control points. If at end of any round (starting round 3) a player has a ground unit on all of the control points he wins the battle. To control a point, the player must have a unit that can take objectives on the same field and no enemy units in range 1. If none of the players achieved that until end of round 6 calculate unit points as normal. For each control point held add 25 points to your score.
- Artillery Barrage – „Sometimes the only way to make sure there is no resistance left is heavy artillery bombardment of the area. Especially when dealing with local inhabitants, that know the area far better than we do. Some high ranking axis commanders were even ready to sacrifice their own soldiers to make sure the resistance is crushed. The guns are being recalibrated, there is no time to evacuate. Capture any cover you can find, survive the bombardment and be ready to fulfill the mission afterwards.”
For this scenario 2 bonus ammo boxes are used, so there is a total of 6 cover elements on the map.The player who controls the most cover elements (crates and tank traps) at the end of the game is the winner. If any player controls at least 4 cover elements at the end of any round (starting with round 3) he wins. To control a cover element, the player must have a non-aircraft, unit that can take objectives in the same square as the cover element and no enemy units in range 1.
Maps for semi-final and final stage won’t be published before Championship.
